Adelynn Rose
Jimmy and I are having a little girl.
It was such an amazing moment getting to peak at her for the first time. She has long legs like her mommy and daddy and from the profile picture, it is clear she is going to have Daddy's nose. I just love Jimmy's nose.
I wish I could have captured the look on Jimmy's face when we found out out bundle of joy was going to be a bundle of pink and flowers and ribbons. It was priceless and something I will never forget. He got this knowing little smirk on his face that turned into a huge grin. Before the ultrasound he had been telling the world that we were going to have a boy... After the ultrasound when I asked him what his thoughts were, he said...
"I knew it was a girl all along. I told you a long time ago that I was going to have a daughter first."
He had a dream long before we ever even met that he had a daughter with curly hair.
Imagine that.
We are going to call her Adelynn Rose.
When we first decided to name her this, we had it spelled with one "n".
This changed after my Mother's Day card from Jimmy. He spelled it with two... while at first I teased him about spelling our very own daughter's name wrong, I ended up loving it.
His justification was that well, her mom's name has the double "n"and it will be more inclusive of
Grandma- who's middle name is Lynn.
Everything is going great with the pregnancy. She is as healthy as can be- even though she spent the first 3 months of her little life making me as sick as can be. I could not keep anything down.
Other than the baby news- Jimmy and I are really enjoying each others company and this amazing thing called marriage. We get along so perfectly and I could not imagine anybody else to spend my life with. He makes each day worth living and makes me want to be a better person. He is such a wonderful man and hard worker. He will be the most amazing father this little girl and all the future Hazel Babies could ask for.
I know he is the best husband I could ever ask for
I miss my family tons- there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of all of them.
It is hard living so far away from home and I know it won't get any easier when Adelynn gets here.
Hopefully when things start getting better in the world of economics we can come home.
Smile!

Welcome 2010
how exciting! 2010 is here, bringing in new things already :) New Year's Eve, Jimmy brought 2010 in at the Grand Sierra Resort with some amazing friends. Ashley flew up the day before to spend the holiday weekend with us! Jayme was with us as well- for those of you who don't know, Jayme and Jimmy have been friends since they were wee little boys but ended up drifting apart a bit when Jimmy was racing professionally. They never lost contact though and lately Jayme has been spending a ton of time with us! I think he is just awesome and am so thankful that he has been so welcoming of me and know that we are all going to be friends for a very long time.
Let's see... I have only posted on blog and that was a few weeks ago and if course lots has happened over these holiday weeks!
Santa treated Jimmy and I very well this year for Christmas and it was a big eye opener for me. A lot of times I am very quick to complain... well not really complain- more cry. I have an excess amount of tears locked up in this big ol' head of mine and cry about the darnedest things... anywho, i am going off on a tangent. Back to the point... This year has been a rough one for most people that I know and even more that I don't. With the economy at seemingly rock bottom and this crazy war still brewing- families have been knocked down, beat up, and sadly many have been destroyed this last year. Money was tight for Jimmy and I most of the year... or so it seemed. But when I look at the bigger picture, I realize we had it pretty damn good. Sure, we went through some rough times where we worried about the bills and it seemed like life was not ever going to stop throwing punches and overwhelming obstacles our direction. But we were always able to come up with the money. We got to head down to Arizona to visit my wonderful family a handful of times. We got engaged(4.17.09) planned the wedding of our dreams and got Married!!! (11.21.09) and were able to spend 10 days in beautiful Hawaii.
Rough, right?
not so much.
My point being- not everything was perfect for us in 2009- but because we had each other's support and love, as well as that from our families, we were able to do amazing things in a not so amazing time. For that, I am so grateful.
Snowboarding. Jimmy and I got each other all new snowboarding equipment for Christmas! The best part of this is that neither of us knew that was what the other was getting us! We walked out Christmas morning and just cracked up laughing that we both bought the same gift for one another! They do say that great minds think alike. We have gone snowboarding twice and although I am not a very gifted athlete- I enjoy making it down the slopes without falling too hard on my toosh. I can succesfully get on and off of the lift now with minimal issues and have gotten comfortable enough on the smaller runs that next time I am going up the big one!

I got a sewing machine... i have been wanting one for a very long time and finally purchased one! I am starting off with small pillow project but hope to soon leap into the quilting. Might I mention that when I get excited over projects such as these, I tend to jump into them before I get my feet wet. I have already come up with brilliant ideas for an online store featuring all my crafts that will make me millions... all of which I will do while opening my bookstore, bakery, taking care of my 4 children, writing a children's series, and of course rescuing wild animals and raising them on my farm/motocross track. A girl can dream right?!
Everyone, Good Luck in 2010 :) I know that this year will bring new challenges and obstacles for all of us but I sure do with for all of you that your obstacles are met with happy endings and new beginnings. Perhaps by the end of this year there will be a baby Hazel on the way.
Adios, amigos.

So ladies and gents, it is official! I am Mrs. Jimmy Hazel!!! Our wedding was amazing thanks to all of our wonderful friends and family. It wouldn't have been the same without you all! I hope everybody got plenty to eat and of course the pictures are proof that we all had plenty to drink... or maybe that was just the bridal party! haha... I can not believe how fast the night went by, I didn't even get a piece of cake! The dance Jimmy and I put together for our first dance was a totally last minute thing and we nailed it! It couldn't have worked out better in my opinion. I was so worried that nobody got it on tape, but my Uncle David had his camera ready and was able to get part of it... Thank goodness!
